DAY BY DAY

From June till September 2006 I embarked on a self-initiated residency in Beijing, China. During this 3 month period I collected observations, notes and photos relating to different themes as they emerged. The DAY BY DAY site serves both as a growing archive that I can reflect back on after my return to Amsterdam, and a research tool that enabled me to organize the collected material in such a way that new associations and questions arise.

The site has two different views:
1: DAY BY DAY view
This is the default view, and shows daily entries in chronological order.

2: UNFOLDING CONTEXT view.
Here, by my re-organizing the material under emerging themes, topics and queries, it will be possible to view the entries in different combinations.
